late report from last friday

had a hankering for a breaded calico sandwich so I dragged the sled down to the beach and hit the inside of the south side for 5 calicos: 3 around 12, 1 lunker right about 20 all released and finally hit one in the slot (14-16) for lunch.

Your kid looks like he's plotting to do evil things to that fish! Too funny!

Your kids face and demeanor is perfect.... That's a pic to be hung up in a frame and placed in the hallway of garage.... right on...

actually my nephew, not much longer til he is going out on the yak. he loves playing with his fishing pole in the front yard already

I only keep calicos between 14-16" as any smaller its not worth it and better to let them grow, any bigger as said above they are breeders.

What kind of setup do you use for calicos?

I really want a waterproof camera to take out there as I release so many more fish than i bring in people are starting to doubt my catch numbers

Haven't seen any WSB or YT over here yet, but they do show up from time to time.

You already have a camera - get one of these:

I have one and it works - it isn't a perfect fit. I added some rolled up rubber to get a better fit. The plastic case allows you to push buttons on your camera, but if you have any sliders, it can be done, but isn't super easy. I just leave my camera on (slider on/off switch) it will shut off after a bit - but turn on when I hit the shutter button.

Those are cool too. Some you can replace/take out the film instead of sending in the whole thing.
