How to catch a doormat
The anti fishing people expect us fishermen to be doormats. They analyzed the proposals today and it was so hypocritical it was laughable. Are we going to take it? Show up or forever hold your peace. The following are the top posters in BWE history, most posts first: Iceman madscientist lamb Holy Mackerel tylerdurden Dennis Corey Dan Matt aguachico dorado50 Billy V Handymansd Tman steveooo nmbrinkman THE DARKHORSE katchfish esdees wavster FISHIONADO MOYER THE FISH DESTROYER dgax65 Siebler vellocity bajadog Zed Aaron&Julie Grego How many of you guys haven't been to a single BRTF meeting, a single RSG meeting? How many are doormats? How many can say they helped the cause at all? I've been to just about every meeting since April and have seen the same few guys off this list at every one. Some others have shown up once or twice. A lot of names off the list haven't shown up a single time. A few have moved from San Diego. For the ones still in SoCal, Do you not care enough? You take days off work to go fishing, but not to ensure your fishing future? You don't need any special skills to help out. A black tshirt and a pulse at the meeting is good enough.

I heard the SAT evaluation today was brutal.
They said they didn't have time to look at the socio-economic impact and went purely by bio-pseudo science data. Not surprisingly, since they set up the grading system (remember persistent kelp?), the score was skewed in favor of Group 1 and Group 3. What happened to "stake-holder driven, science-based" initiative. They ignored half of it (the stakeholder-driven part--read: overwhelming public support for Group 2) and focused on the part of the game they set up to control. If I can set up the rule of the game, I can win nearly 100% of most games played. It's that simple. This is a setup for tomorrow's BRTF meeting. Expect ugliness tomorrow in the way the BRTF comes up with the Preferred Alternative Map. That's why we need everyone.

Heard about the SAT criticism...numb nuts. The study of economic impacts was mandatory.....and their best excuse is that they "didn't have time"
DON'T LET THEM GET AWAY WITH THIS CRAP!!! BE THERE TOMORROW. I'm not a doormat...I just catch them, use them like a blanket to keep me warm...unlike Bellcon |

Shit, another MLPA meeting where we all have to listen to Grego talk about the only halibut he's ever caught.
