You're Getting Screwed, Don't Just Sit There!
This is the group 3 Reserve Proposal for Scripps Pier, and heading North. - San Diego-Scripps Coastal SMCA 73136 South Mainland North: 32 53' South: 32 52' East: MHTL West: -117 16.4' (Tenth of a minute line that anchors at Point La Jolla.) SMCA High The take of all living marine resources is prohibited except the recreational take of coastal pelagic finfish by dip net. F^ck Me! When was the Last Time You Caught a Pelagic Fish in a Dip Net ? They have disrespected Us All. Don't let them get away with it. Designation is not intended to impede pier maintenance or research activities, scientific collection by SIO/UCSD, the Southwest Fisheries Science Center and Birch Aquarium or laboratory tank ocean water intake and discharge activities by these entities. So the Scripps employees get to Fish and Dump Crap in these waters, but we Can Not! Start Preparing Your Responses for the Oct 21 Meeting, and Sign up to Roll Call. We need to know who we can count on to be there. Last edited by Billy V; 09-28-2009 at 01:24 PM. |

For clarity
Coastal Pelagic = bait fish. Mac, sardine, chovy... Pelagic = yt, thresher, wsb... Coastal pelagic and pelagic are different under the definitions in this process. Basically we are getting screwed. At least they don't expect us to catch yt with a dipnet though .

Time to call?
Billy, sounds like you just realized you're playing poker with card sharks.
We are being played so bad. By some well paid pros. I'm just an unpaid extra in a bad reality show. The contrived drama plays on. Who wrote this trashy script? I support the workgroup 2 maps. No? But, will the Workgroup 1 and 3 prevail? They take so much, they're our target! I'm having a tough time swallowing all this swill, and wished the fish around here would start biting more. Just to distract me from further political disenchantment. TL, Scott |

Well stated, Scott. Heads they win, tails we loose. "Trust us because we know more than you do and it's for your good".
I looked this up the other day and it's seams pretty strait forward to me. I guess I'm naive. Mike CALIFORNIA CONSTITUTIONfficeffice" /> ARTICLE 1 DECLARATION OF RIGHTS Section 25. It might be a good idea to take a copy of the California Constitution with you to court if you get a DFG ticket.
A Constitutional lawyer might help as well. |

That constitution thing has been read over many times. The state can regulate where you fish, and what you fish for. It doesn't really help us at all.

If anyone needs a cheap and easy way to get to the meeting, bloodydecks has organized buses to get people there. It should be a fun trip! For the price of $20 roundtrip, you can't go wrong! PLUS, you will receive a 1/2 day pass from one of the local landings in exchange. We are trying to get mass numbers in attendance at this meeting. There are 3 buses and they have various stops at park n rides along the way... please go visit these links and RSVP right away! This is a great way to get the momentum up for the mtg!
