big fish!!

After two trips and about 8 hours of fighting I land one of two. The first hook up lasted almost 5 hours the day before, to end with a broken leader. yesterday I landed this one after a two and half hour battle.

My arms are sore today!!
Thanks to Premo. Could not have done it without ya!!!

50lb spec, 10ft,150lb steel leader. shimano tr100 reel, and a shity shimano voltaus rod! It was quite a ride, pulled me at 10 mph for about 45 min before getting tired.

"10 MPH for 45 minutes"? Does that mean that this shark dragged you around for about 7.5 miles? I hope it wasn't all heading due west. That would be a long paddle back with 100 pounds of fish in your lap.

Awesome. I saw this post at work and I cant see the pics from that computer, so I sat and wondered. Didnt really do any work, just wondered. Got home and brushed past the wife to get online. Damn. Well done.

Ive got some 100lb mono, anyone think that will work for a leader?
