8/8 Bass trifecta in SD Bay
Headed over to the first spot for a few spotties and sandies. Moved up to another spot and it was all you wanted on mixed bass. PJ hooked an almost legal flattie. I moved to a farther spot and hooked 3 flatties in a row, one which was I got yak side and was easily a keeper but before I could grab my net he bit through the light line. ![]() Got lucky again today. Was fishing both top and bottom. My bottom rig gets hit HARD. I reached to grab it and my top rig goes right in the water So there I am sitting there staring at my lap where my rod & reel used to be just a minute ago. Decided to reel in my bottom rig.........yup, as I reeled in I was happy to see that I had hooked the line from my top rig. Pulled the pole out of the water and reeled it in and also a spottie that was on the other end ![]() Called it a day around 1130. Between us we caught a couple dozen bass, 5 flatties, and a couple small baracuda. All C&R'ed, all caught using misc. GULP! and swim baits smothered in Uni-butter. Tons of bait in the water, looked like chovies. A morning well spent relaxing and catching lots of fish. Peace, Spyder |
