extrime yak fishing in isreal

hi evryone, a week have pased since a goined the forom and i learnd alot about big game fishing at your place. i told a friend of main that has a boat and tackle shop in eilat(the red sea) about the tip's the you gave me and which rod you are using. two day's after i left my visit ther he calld me and said "menash, i 'av got a rod for you, penn jigmaster 7 " long, test 12-30 lb , it's used". a yact man brought this rod from usa and it's to long for him. the rod cost me 45$, and he sent it to me .
the weekend arive and after prepering evrything ther was'nt conditions to get out fising with the yak.
yesterday it was our ellection day' and we mange to go fishing 3 friends.
at 5 :00 am with the first light we went out from askelon marin to a sinked boat at 75 feet defth. my friend foot a cuttelfish on his rig and i wanted to catch a batistes caroliness (the the cinetifc name that i have found) and i put a shrimp on my rig. after 5 minits ihooked a big fish and after a good fight the hook line cut off. i new that's what i was looking for and i changed the rig to wire. while am catching anoter one the line of my friend start ranning. he went to a "raid" wite an amberjack and till thay came back i had to fish on my yak.
then i changed the rig by a jig and start working with it, i does'nt take a long time and i set up a good fish on it, it was an "meagra" fish (mosar).
after 1/2 an hour we went back.
tho's catches are the biggest ever in isreal from a yak, and i have the owner to be the first isreali that cout a fish with jig from a yak and some of this successbelont to you and some to new rod.
i want to send a big thank to swinginfish for his help.
i hope you will joy from the picture's and i hop so writh again soon
menash

EDIT:
Pictures added! That looks alot like a WSB to me

Menash, you need to have the pictures on a host site, like an online photo album. If you want, send me the pictures and I will put them up for you.

My e mail aallen4@flash.net

Sounds like some great fishing over there. Keep the fish reports coming.

Andy

Menash, thanks for the report. It is really interesting to hear about fishing in another part of the world, and to see how the sharing of information on website like this can impact an angler's success thousands of miles away. Keep the reports coming.

Israel ho!

Guys,

My work brings me to Israel at least once a year, and I've been in touch with Menash about gear, etc. Gear in Israel is exhorbitant and I'm planning on bringing Menash and his cronies some extra stuff of mine (can't bring poles ...). Their need is for decent reels, line, hooks and lures. If there's any sponsors out there that want to break into a new potential market, give me your samples and I'll bring 'em to Menash for distribution.

Am heading there the end of May, early June for meetings. Am supposed to meet Menash and some of his friends sometime during my stay and, hopefully, will fish with them. Send me PM's if you've stuff you want me to take.

Menash, congratulations on your success. Avery, that is fantastic to think you'll fish with Menash and his friends in just a few months. There is a great story there waiting to be told. I hope you'll share it when you return.

What kind of fish is that?

Menashe (and other interested parties),

Its been awhile since it was mentioned, so for what its worth, a good website for identifying fish is: http://www.fishbase.org.

Menash, I love seeing a big fish and the happy fisherman who did the catching!!

Some of us have forgotten what a big fish looks like!

Your catch looks like a Tutuaba.

Keep us posted.

EDIT BWE Moderator:

Menash, a little help with your photos, you almost have it. In photo bucket there three options under the small (thumbnail) picture, the page that shows all your pictures. The bottom one says IMG. Copy and paste that one. It already has the img tags, so you don't need to add them. I think you are opening the picture and copying the url from the address bar on top and adding the img tags. Here is your picture. Hope this helps.
