Those inflatable tubes are fairly wide and you don't have much roof to work with. most of the support would be provided by just two of the tubes. I would also be concerned about the keel compressing the tubes when shock loaded (ie: hitting bumps). An air bladder is going to momentarily compress under load and most of the compression will be right under the keel. A foam block will not compress as much. Can you carry the yak upside down?

I've got a set of hard racks in the garage from my 2003 Honda Accord coupe that I sold a while back. I imagine they'll fit your car...if your'e interested we can check to make sure they fit thru their website. I'll let them go for $150 - they're Yakimas if I remember correctly and are in good shape. I'm in SD.
