If you tie your own Flys 🪰
You always want to go with a line heavy enough to bring home dinner incase your bait gets skunked, most fish will eat a fly. As for hooks 🪝 I go with as big that will slide down the tube of my bait rod, because they rust out of the fly when your fishing alot and you don't even know it till you feel the fly with your fingers.
Next time your not catching bait check your hooks aren't rusted out that's happened to me before until I started tying my own.

Yep...LOL
Huge! A little Cuda for a BSB, can be productive. Not so popular off Florida. The favorite Grouper bait here is Little Tunny. Never had a grouper grab a Cuda. I have had Almaco Jacks, Blue Runner and Blackfin Tuna grabbed. It's like having the line tied to the bumper of a slow-moving car. The line pulls out down towards the wreck until the grouper lets go. Then you reel up a stone-dead fish with sand paper rash, but no teeth marks. Quote:

When a boater snags the line, Some of the guys in my area will free-spool it so the prop gets bound up in braid. |
