Blackfin Tuna

Last Thursday I made a trip out of Ft. Lauderdale. No luck finding bait in the morning, but still managed to catch a nice Blackfin Tuna crossing the 3rd reef at sunrise on a Yozuri Crystal Minnow.

The rest of the morning was a vertical jigathon.

After CPR'ing about a dozen smaller species (mainly False Albacore), I was lucky to find one more Blackfin worthy of harvesting.

That's a heck of a fish on a Yo-zuri Crystal Minnow! Nice work on both of them.

Thanks, Ben, The ballyhoos were getting chased, so figure it was worth a shot.
Not the first time a Yo-Zuri Crystal Minnow produced at first light on the third reef.
