Seal Beach 11-24

With the forecast of deteriorating weather and the possibility of inshore and harbor waters getting runoff that will dirty them up hit Seal Beach at 5:45 this morning.

Headed out into cool light west winds to look for halibut, the wind current and tide made setting a drift almost impossible. After an hour the wind shifted out of the east and got colder though the drift improved and I picked up a sand bass on the 1 oz Western plastic skirted head Uni Buttered up.

The Flukes were not working this morning so switched the other rod to a 1oz Hornet head with a Reebs grub for this sandie.

The bite was really slow headed in at 8:15 slow trolling the Hornet and picked up another sandie half way in the jetty. By the time I landed my feet even with the bootties on felt like giant ice cubes and took about an hour to thaw out. Time to clean and sort all the tackle till the weather passes maybe by the weekend if the wind holds off…………………
