I use a RAM ball quick release mount for Lowrance units 4"-5"-7", but it has to be the one with the 1.5" Ball, they are about $40. I had the 1" when I used a 5TI and it wont hold the 7TI in rough water or surf due to the weight it would tilt down, no matter how tight you got it. The 1.5" work great and it allows you to move it in different position really easy. The 7" TI will suck up more power than my 5" model did. I had to get a 12ah battery when I switched to the 7TI so it could last more then 6-7 hrs. I still use one of my 10ah batteries when I'm not going to be out there longer than 6-6.5hrs. I use just sealed flooded batteries cause they will only last 2-3 years but only cost about $27. This is how I use it on my Solo Skiff and the other picture is how it was on my since sold 2016 Hobie Revo 13.
