Those are some pretty amazing pictures. There are some videos on YouTube that were taken about the same time.

I think the first three videos were shot from the dive boat that was tied up next to El Duque on that last OEX San Carlos trip.

Hey Brent - any plans for more San Carlos mothership trips? After seeing these videos, I'd like to go back down there.

Nice pics! Last year I had red Adi's story on that trip and really enjoyed it. I am headed down there again over the thanksgiving weekend and will give a report. I would love to get out to San Pedro island but doubt I will make it there. I'll have to stick around the local area. The orange mouth corvina are starting to bite and they are definately picking up some yelowtail and sierras. Also saw the orcas are back and were seen fliping manta's in the air. pics are supposed to follow soon. That would be cool to see!! Here are a couple pics from last year at thanksgiving. The view of the bay is from our room... only 70 bucks a night!!

Wow. Cool pictures....and then OWWWWWWW
Looks like you had a good trip up until the treble in the finger. Did you rent yaks there or take your own down with you?
It is a very cool place for kayak fishing. You just have to go the right time of year.

Yea that place is awesome. Almost hate to post about it....Shhhhhhhhh. We took our yaks down with us and will again this Thanksgiving. I know there are a couple places that will rent yaks but have no idea on the quality of them. That hook in my finger was just a bonehead move on my part... Ended up having to go to the emergencia which was much better than I had imagined it would be and cheap too! The link further above in this thread is a great resource for San Carlos info. Great bunch of people on it.
