Question on Halibut Habitat - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

I have a question on Halibut habitat....

I seem to vagely recall that large halibuts will migrate into the bays during winter seasons....

Is this right? Or am I thinking of Sand Bass?

I think hali's move bayward during the early summer to spawn.

The hali's seem to come into the bay in the spring and early summer.

the few halibut I have caught in SD Bay and MB were in the Fall and Spring for what its worth.
