Sting of the WSB PA17T (pro angler 17t)

The Sting of the WSB PA17T

The window to go fishing has been plagued with terrible surf and wind from the four corners of the earth. The season is ripe to go White Sea Bass hunting... ocean water is warm and the fish are active.... The window to go kayak fishing has been short.... and viscious and plagued with high surf.

My schedule has been a bit hectic... due to spending alot more time with the kids... But i managed to get out for a bit Saturday night.

I unloaded my kayak from the trailer... i now use two kayak carts.... Just makes it easier to roll... to the car when im alone...just a big tougher to turn...

I head out into the open water in 3-5mph... the swell has calmed down alot this evening and i head out...

I believe i am the only soul in these open water... I finally arrive at the fishing grounds.. to find four boats diving for white sea bass.

I put my go to lure... the superman glow in the dark iron with some dead squid....

Not even 30 secs later.... im on ....

Fighting this fish for 20 mins...

then this story has been cut short... to be continued

Picture of my current Setup

the sting of the WSB

STUPID STING RAY

You probably got a good pull at least. I am sure it got your heart pounding.

The two times I thought I was on a legal WSB they were both bat rays!

Outriggers are to keep bow from plowing into waves when under motor power.... And the Xi5 trolling motor on the bow didn't help.

Also, at night... I cant see nothing... so I feel a bit safer when a sudden swell sneaks up from only God knows where.

Whenever I think about leaving them behind... I think about my Good friend/ Friend who know hates me.... who capsized his PA14 while hooping.

the PA17t has enough room to bout a 100 amp 12v lithium battery, in a specially designed battery holder in the stern of the kayak... and as far as spare batteries for the torqeedo i just tie them to the H bar...so they don't float away

You could buy a 17' Boston Whaler for cheaper than what it cost for your rig, have you ever surf launched that beast?

Well... You can buy a cheap boat... Or you can buy an expensive kayak...

Its like when your dating... you can choose to marry an expensive model... or you can buy a working model... or you can just date infected ones... or you can work all your life and not get an expensive model...

I can pedal... Motor... Sail... Sleep.... Poop... Car top it... Trailer... It... Beach launch.... Fish it at lakes..... All with no oil and gas....
Cook some fish tacos... Make out... Shower... Sun bathe in the nude... Have a fireplace ... Stand up and Fish... Walk to the Bow... Walk to the Stern.... microwave my hotdogs... take my son out to have a good time... All while eating hot noodles.

Fits what I want to do with it....

One kayak... One purpose... To get out and fish...

PA17t is not for everyone....

As a father... I see the value....

If your content with your small things... well that fine too
