Lowrance Hook 5 issue

I went out fishing for about 3 hours Wednesday and my new Hook 5 randomly shutdown twice. No pattern to it.

He anyone else encountered this?
Should I send it back for replacement?

Two things....

1) The problems with the Hook series have been discussed numerous times. Nothing but issues from just about everyone that has/had one.

2) What trouble shooting have you gone through so far?

I haven't started yet. I did register/contact with Lowrance and sent them my issue.

I will inspect it closely and run some continuity tests with my meter if that is possible. I wasn't banging through waves I was on a lake that was relatively calm.
