Any SB yakers?
I purchased my first kayak, a Hobie Outback 2017 in May. So far, I've launched from Santa Barbara harbor about 10 times. It was fun catching the calicos by the Stern's Wharf and the local kelp beds. I ventured out to the 1-mile reef area last time and even found some rockfish too. I will start posting reports on this forum from now on. I know most people fish down in LA/SD area on this forum. I would love to meet up with some of you guys down south sometime this summer. But are there any yakers in Santa Barbara area? I am planning to head out again this weekend. If anyone would like to meet up please let me know. Thank you and tight lines! Z. |

I'v been wondering about Gaviota.
Had a few decent bites along the pipe at Goleta. Carp reefs been slow for last few trips. Leo really slow last week. Thinkin Cambria soon. P |

Cambria sounds real good, never fished up there but it's on my summer to-do list for sure. I am not exactly sure if I was actually at the 1-mile reef, but I can show you the area that has produced for me.
