DOnt know much about these but always wanted one. Would a 15ah work with my gen3? Does the current change or is it just more storage? I would love to get a batt that can last my ff for a whole day. Thanks bud. Chuck |

Bought a 12v 20ah from them over 3 years ago, two months ago it went bad and they sent me a new one no questions asked. Replacement arrived in two days. Good company

I think that your $30 battery is probably lead acid. The one they are taling about is Lithium whatever, so it should have a much longer life of discharge/recharge cycles. Extra amp hours is great too, but I think the premium price is for the extended deep cycle life.

Chuck,
I have the HDS 7 touch and ran my battery out during the Marina Del Rey Halibut Derby, but it was on the 2nd day on hour 17. My 6v 12a bait tank battery ran out about an hour earlier (but it is old and not real efficient). I bought the 6v back in the middle of 2013 and the 12v before that. DandPt, Lots of advantages on the LiFePo4 batteries over lead acid: Weight (about a 1/3) Life (10x) Circuit board protection (overcharge rate and total, over discharge rate and total) No Memory (don't have to completely discharge before recharging to maintain run time) Among other advantages. |

Chuck,
Looks like the power usage on the Gen 2s and Gen 3s are the same (.9a), unless you have the 9" (1.2a)? I rarely run my FF on the highest back light setting either. I usually start at #6 in the dark and slowly make my way to #9 as needed. That does seem to help quite a bit on run time. I am guessing, by my run times, that the .9a is based on one of the highest back light settings. You get more amps out of the LiFePo4 batteries than similar capacity lead acid also (like 90% vs 50-70%). |

Just received the battery and trying to figure out where to put it. Can someone post their battery box set up using bioenno batteries?
My pelican box that I've been using with SLA Battery is too small for the bioenno Thank you! 45 |

Here is mine. 12V 12Ah on the right, 6V 12Ah for the bait tank on the left. Box is a pelican 1200. I have a fuse on the one going to the finder. |
