Good rod/reel set up for bay?

Hello I'm looking to get a set up for bay fishing. Bass/halibut. Any recommendations on a set up to throw swim baits and grubs around? Thanks!

Shonuff, I use chartreuse, white and rustic rd grubs. Far as line 6-12ibs Berkeley Vanish.Using a SLOW retrieve around the eel grass.Use drop shot rig for slow or stationary, and chrome/blue krocidile.Otherwise enjoy the paddle.

Nice I'll keep that in mind, what about rod/reel set up. Sorry I wasn't clear in my original post.

7'6" Okuma Shadow Stalker in M for the rod and a Shimano Cardiff 200 for the reel.

Great ROD

Might be a little much for you to handle though.

I use spinning set up M to MH rod and penn fierce reel 6-8 lb line. Keep the retrieve SLOW to keep on the bottom. When you think it's too slow, slow it down some more.

Pretty much what you would use for large mouth bass fishing.
