FitBit Zip for a Hobie Outback?

I found a new fitbit zip in an unopened box on the sidewalk with a yellow sticky: "new - pass it on"

I was going to give it to anyone who likes to walk or run, but was wondering if it might be useful for measuring the amount of exercise we get or the distance we cover during our kayak fishing trips?

Probably not, but I thought I should ask here before I toss it.

Yes, it will track your activity. I used to take my Zip and attach it to my wrist so that it would track my paddling. I now have a much more advanced one. If you are looking to track your steps and activity, that's a good basic one to use. The website is free.
