Walters Camp to Fishers Landing
Going to make this trip with my wife next week. Thursday arrive at Walters, Friday paddle and drift to the S Camp at north end of Picacho. 14 miles. Saturday paddle the few miles to Taylor and fish there and camp at the lake or the main camp depending on availability. I have fished Taylor and really look forward to fishing it again. Sunday paddle and drift the remainder to Fishers Landing load up and make the 5 hour trip home. Any advice from anyone who has done this trip or any areas along the way to check out would be appreciated. Trip report to follow.

The night after staying at Walters, we plan to stay at Outpost Camp or 4_S Camp toward the bottom of page 2 of map.

Iceman, did you ever post how your trip went? Looks awesome!
My buddy and I are doing pretty close to the same float/fish, but going from Walter's Camp to 4-S, 4-S to Taylor Lake, Taylor Lake to Lake Ferguson and then Ferguson on down to Squaw. 4 nights, starting this coming Saturday. How was the 14 miles from Walter's to 4-S? Was it a slog? Thank you! |

As long as you do not have a head wind it is is pretty easy paddling with the current doing half the work. I will do this trip again for sure.
