NPH, 7-29-16. Short report.

Landwhale and I launched around 7am from the Coast Guard beach. Air was warm and clear. No wind until about 8:30. Water was 71º-73º and a bit dirty depending on where you were. Tidal swing was almost nonexistent, about a 1'. We hit all our regular haunts. Bottom line, it was slow.

I got my 4 fish on a Slayer head with a 4" Bad Shad Paddlerz. Hot Sauce for flavor. I was getting bit on the Sexydine Warblade. Then I lost it to a mooring line. Damn! Lots of short biters for me today and no real size to the four I did get. I think Steve got 7 or 8. But, that's the way it goes. Last week I had 4 and he had 1, this week he got the better of me. But, It was good to be out there and fishing with Steve. Next week Dana perhaps?

Thanks for the report. Hate it when there's no water movement at NPH . Once in a while though the fish do get active in those conditions. I need to get out on the water myself. Have t been able to yak in over a month due to vacations,l and visitors from out of country.

Lost Lures

Mooring lines and buoy ropes must be like tackle shops. They have claimed a few of my lures as well.

Orca, we did find one little point that bit for about 20min. Probaaably should've stuck there longer.

Iethinker, for sure. Being my favorite warblade it hurt my heart to lose it.

Was also out there. Definitely slow. Seas were a bit sloppy in the morning but ventured out of the harbor anyways! Couldn't find mr. Thresher and settled for some rockfish to take home!
