LJ report Friday 6\10 - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

Had to work at 2 so I went out at about 5:30 with my buddy kayak808 and his cousin who was in town visiting, we had trouble making bait-couldn't get out of the dang red crabs there was a blanket of them. After kayak808 got a few green backs we headed out to some bird action outside the submarine canyon but no luck not a single fish breaking the surface just more red crabs

Kayak808 and his cousin went outside the birds over to a party boat maybe 5 miles out and right as they were about to turn around his cousin hooked into a 6ft thresher(begginers luck) we both got skunked lol after that first attempt in the birds I headed to the condo and found some good kelp that I slow trolled around for a bit before heading in. all in all a great day out there I forgot to mention that when we pulled up the water was sheet glass not even the slightest amount of wind it was really cool to see I'll be back again next week I'm 0/3 for my last 3 trips last fish was a wsb barely legal
