LJ 6/10

Fresh off the water. Met BWE members Mitch and Jeff on the beach at 6:30. Short interval sets, easily timed, easy launch. Decided to forgo the idea of trying to catch yellowtail After reading all the recent reports of red crab. Targeted Rockfish. Ended the day with three nice reds and a sculpin. Conditions were a little sloppy for a while out there. Was cleaning my fish in about 150 feet of water with the bucktail jig sitting about 100 feet behind my kayak, suddenly something very large took it and it was off to the races ! I button down my drag and immediately did a 180 I was pulled for about 10 seconds and the line came ripping up toward the surface and then pop! I'm guessing thresher shark.
