Amish Ed and I hit the lake today for a morning go round. Big algae bloom going on. I talked with the guys in the store, they said the bite has died now that the spawn is done. I was hoping to load up on some crappie but it wasn't to be. I ended up with a channel cat and Ed got a 3lb bass but that was it for the morning. I couldn't even dredge up a bluegill. The lake is way down so that could be part of it. It sure was slimey. The water was 67 and it was overcast all morning, that part was nice

Did you say algae bloom looked like a golf course fairway from the air!

Thanks for the report. Were you bait fishing for the cat?

got the cat drowning some crickets, the lake looks like you could putt on it.

Yep, the water was a mite green today. I got my fish on a T-rigged plum colored Big Hammer Ringer Worm. Got quite a few bites on the Brushhog too, just couldn't swing fast enough.
