Chirp VS HDI - Clearer Imaging?

I was in OEX Sunset today picking up some Ram Tube rod holders when I got talking to Andy about putting a finder on my Thresher. Been eyeing the Elite 4 Chirp and HDI on WestMarine since they are so cheap now. Am I correct in see the only difference in both finders is that the Chirp will give you a clearer image in comparison to the HDI. Both have Chartplotter functionality

The model with Chirp comes with Navionics+ and the model with HDI comes Nautic Insight PRO cartography. Is one Chart better than the other.

I'm leaning towards purchasing the Chirp model tonight since it has better imaging. Any input is appreciated.

For 30 bucks difference just get the chirp.. Minor difference but worth the extra $$.. The new hook series is the same as chirp so that is not worth the extra $$
