Marine VHF handheld suggestions
Looked at Amazon on at various Cobra's, Unidens, and the like. What does everyone use/recommend/recommend against/have good experience with? Thanks in advance. |

Standard Horizon HX870. unless you plan on staying in the bay, you want a powerful floating handheld w GPS to effectively transmit a distress signal in the event of an emergency.

Thanks, that looks like a good one, and the internal GPS is a good idea. If it weren't on a Kayak, id just need the DSC as my FF/chartplotter is NMEA capable and connectible. |
