What have you seen? Are they starting repairs? |

I'm wondering if there is anything done in the way of just being able to roll kayaks down instead of the wall or stairs.

No real option to roll down the launch. Small strip on left with big drop at the end. Ended up parking in lot and wheeling down stairs by the lot all the way to the launch. Seemed the best way...

So who's fishing Saturday? Planning on dragging my kayak down the stairs by myself. Worst case scenario is I scratch her up a bit.

It does not appear that any activity has taken place at the wrecked launch since last week. I doubt that it's high on the city's repair list.
Was out this morning and parked in the lot. There are stairs right next to the life guard station with about 1 1/2 steps to traverse. After going up and down I should have scooped in some sand in front of the steps so there is only one step to get up/down. I would also suggest going stern first down the step so you can control the drop (don't drop 8" and bust a wheel like I did). Walking up the beach toward the wrecked launch had a bit less surf. Was 3 - 3.5 ft with occasional 4 footers. Oh, and in case you're wondering... skunked today. There were about 10-12 PBs out and I saw only one other yak. Didn't see any bent rods. |

Had to gown down those steps last time the street was repaired. Maybe I'll bring an old beach towel so plastic doesn't hit cement.
I'll be willing to lend a hand if I see someone there the same time as me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
