11/30 LJ Last chance for 05

Hightide sloppy launch, took one to the chin and then made it out going up and over a couple. Winds were pretty light, pushing offshore until around 10 AM, When it turned to glass. Birds were scattered all over the north side of LJ, diving on anchovies, no boils on them all morning. There were some mackeral on them, I caught about a dozen. Had a small one on the bottom that never found a biter. Yoyoed all over por nada (except saba). Landed a little before noon in easier lowtide 1 footers. Looks like 05 is going out with a fizzle. Hope 06 rebounds with a big Bang!

After I spoke to you Dave, I farmed a legal Hali at the boat, one of the size you wouldn't have to measure...#7-9 lb class. My 7 inch Greenback's head got smashed... Par for the course for me this year, but I need something bigger, hope to get it manana! Dave we are launching 6AM, if you want to split a scoop, or anyone else.... Meeting up at Pnavy tourney launch site, or radio ch#71

Bottom of the 9th, 3 balls, two strikes, bases loaded.....

Chris

I put in 6 hours for one sand bass today, released it for karma, hoping to be a seriola killer instead. Worked the spot with dead squid on hook and on iron, caught several 10" mac's there and soaked one on the bottom also. After several hours I moved over to the edge of the kelp and then the rock structures near the cove, Quast Rock to God's Rock. Caught this bass at God's Rock on my bait rod (with snap swivel for sabiki).

Pulled up a couple of these, both 8-10". Not sure what it is, maybe a juvenile WSB?
