I am starting to put my list together.
I need to do some work on the kayak as well. I have bought some accessories long ago and yet to install them. This trip is a good push to do it. I am YES, YES, AND YES. |

We are fishing the SEA of Cortez, and I believe Puerto Nuevo is north of Ensenada on the Pacific coast, about 100 miles out of the way.

Possibally your best trip EVER. I know it should not be your worst trip. I will have another group there in September and there will be a some posts about their trip. Expect to see them here around the 25-28 of September. Last years October trip had some yakers catching 100+ fish days.

It's been a few years since I've had a 100 fish day. Yes it was also in Baja. Those are the kind of days you need to take a break from fishing just to give your arms a rest! Then you wake up the next day and every muscle is sore and you do it all over again! 👍🏼 Yes sir I sure do miss Baja! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

But I thought it was because you were getting old and tired, thanks for straightening me out.
Guys remember there are lots of different senarios there. Last year all the bait schools were small 1-2 inch fish, and we all needed to down size to smaller lures. You know, match the hatch. If some of you want to free dive, talk it over and figure it out. If some want to take a panga, let me know so I can let the capt know what days you need him for. Most stuff we can figure out there but it is better to pre plan. Tight lines.

I did a lot of research before taking a trip to Cedros Island to stay and fish there.
One of the recommendations of someone who had been there before, was to bring Bengay and the Ibuprofen. I did take them and use them there. Currently I am working on putting together the items on my list. |

SoCalYak and Danjor WHERE ARE YOU. Are you guys still in or can someone else have your spot?
6 of us are leaving on Tuesday morning headed back to Gonzaga, we will be coming back on the 17th. We should post about that trip a few days later. Things to remember, sun protection. Small jigs, wire leaders, gaff, gunny sack drinks and snacks. Bring a spoon, fork, knife, and a cup. We use paper plates as they burn and less cleanup. Tight lines.

A MONTH from today some of us will be fishing in paradise.
Mr Pukashell Svendawg CookieMonster Buddha Mahigeer Defjack Monstafish Gr8fuldude Makobob GunRunner would like to join us but needs a ride so if you have room in your truck please let me know. He is active duty military. We also have room for a couple more fishermen...................... We just got back earlier today and you should have a report on that trip soon. MAHIGEER you will have the opportunity of a lifetime, there are fish all over down there. We saw, Yellows, Cabrilla, needle fish, Corvina, Bass, Triggers, Grunts, Sierra and others. Turtles, whale sharks, rays too. YOUR mission should you accept it will be to TEACH ME to post pictures. Your reward will be a trip you should never forget and MOORE pictures from my future trips.. As for food this last trip we ate most nights at the restaurant, it was quick, easy, no prep, no cleanup and good food. We supplied the meat, they cooked it family style and it cost us $5.00 per head plus drinks and tips, they served salads, rice, beans, tortillas and salsa along side our meat or fish. By doing it this way we just dropped off our frozen meat when we got there and it went into their freezer until the day it was needed. We ate around 5:30 each evening and had time to fish after dinner. Breakfast and lunch are on you so bring what you like. I will do breakfast burritos a couple mornings for those who do not leave at first light.
