Batteries?

What kind of batteries do you guys use to run your livewells?

Building a tank, and a batt. box. Everyone seems to be running 6v set ups, which makes sense. What kind of Ah rating am I looking for?

Not gonna buy the OEX battery box, so you can skip suggesting that

thanks!

The pumps can run on both

6vlt and 12vlt. 12vlt is a little excessive. The old hobie bait tank came standard with a 6vlt 7 amp battery and the new tanks come with an upgraded 6vlt 10 amp battery . With 10 amps the pump should run strong for 6-8 hours or more . I was able to find a 12 amp battery that should keep me running strong for 12 hours . Hope this helps.
