New to this and stoked!!
I am new to kayak fishing and was wondering what are the off limit areas here in San Deigo. I have a Hobie PA14 and I spearfish along with rod&reel. I was told some areas you can do both and in some areas you can only do one style. All guidance is greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

Red=no fishing Orange=hook and line only for recreational fishing. No commercial fishing Blue=open to all fishing That image was taken from the app fishalerts and will show you where all the MLPA fishing restrictions are. You can use it on the water to let you know when you are in a safe zone to fish It's a free app that I use. It also has the CA regs but they are out of date so don't trust them Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The red zones are no fishing at all. The other zones are all limited take zones. Each of those zones has its own rules. The one from Scripps pier north, for instance, is pelagic baitfish only on rod and reel.
