Firework Show 4th July SD Bay/ Glorietta Bay info
There will be five barges in San Diego Bay for the Big Bay Boom and the Coronado 4th of July fireworks shows. 1,000 foot safety zones are established around each of the barges in north San Diego Bay and an 800 foot safety zone around the barge in Glorietta Bay from 9:30 pm – 10:00 pm. All vessels shall remain out of the established safety zones. To ensure spectator safety, vessels may view the fireworks by remaining out of the main channel and outside the safety zones. The barges will be located in the following approximate locations: ¨ Shelter Island: 32°42.8’ N, 117°13.2’ W ¨ Harbor Island: 32°43.3’ N, 117°12.00’ W ¨ North Embarcadero: 32°42.9’ N, 117°10.82’ W ¨ South Embarcadero: 32°42.2’ N, 117°10.0’ W ¨ Glorietta Bay: 32°40’36” N, 117°10’05” W ¨ Mariners are advised to stay out of the safety zone for 30 minutes after the conclusion of the fireworks. Please be safe over the weekend and if you are taking your kayak out at night for the fireworks please have lights for people to see you, its going to be a zoo. |

Good Info Thanks!!! I will be sure to steer clear of that mess, but I will be enjoying the fire works from a friends boat safely docked at the SD yacht club...I feel so snooty even saying that, but you know what they say what is better than owning a boat? it's having a friend who owns a boat !!
