Lost My Gaff at Kellog's Beach Sunday

Dumb Me.

I bounced my kayak down the steps from Lawrence St to Kellog's Beach early Sunday morning.

I must have bounced my vintage gaff right off the side of my boat before it was tethered for the water.

About 36" long, machined solid aluminum with a knurled handle and knob. Braided nylon rope as the hand strap. I recently polished the handle on my buffer. 3" hook is a plain 1/4" steel and bit pitted from rust. It's old, but charming in an old-world sort of way. It is a fine example of a quality tool made in the old days.

I think mine were the first cart tracks in the sand that morning. When I came back there were several other kayak tracks in the sand.

If any of you happened to find my gaff along the steps, please contact me. I'll thank you with the next round of beers, ... at least!
