Crystal cove saturday 6/27
Once it reached high tide around 8 the bite shut off. I hung around a little longer only managing a few more fish. Then I went back to the harbor and was able to catch a few smelt for bait. I caught a 10-12 inch Halibut on one of the smelt then I couldn't catch anymore bait so I called it a day. |

calicos on the surface iron is my favorite way to catch em.

How heavy of a surface iron where you using? What did you catch the sheep head on? Nice report!!

It's a tady c. It's a little smaller and lighter than a tady 45. I caught one sheephead squid and the rest on shrimp

The one I kept was about 16 inches. Pretty decent one. Caught a few more that were smaller
