Yuma / lower Colorado

Any FW guys out there who know this area ? I was there over the weekend with the g/f just doing touristy stuff but the river looked pretty inviting. Looking for a place to tent camp along or near the river and do some fishing, any ideas? Mostly saw RV parks and dry camp areas with no amenities like water, showers or toilets. Looking for an actual campground with tent areas and the aforementioned "luxuries"

yeah picacho state park is nice, I like the 4S beach campground. Do you have a 4x4? Don't forget the Colorado river enhancement on your license!

Used to be a campground right at Imperial Dam that had restrooms and water. Some nice fishing spots on the Cali. side above the dam that are bordered by reeds.
