Wow, never even realized that the swivel ball on the stock base mount was the same 1" RAM ball, just mounts to the head unit don't even need the stock base.............DOH!!!

Looks like they changed the location that the wire enters the transducer as well, that's better than the old location.

Thanks for the spare bracket Andy, replaced my homemade PVC one on the X-Factor.
Using a "fairing" to prevent any kelp from snagging the transducer .

I dig it Alan. You got me thinking of doing the same. Here's mine. I also used my old Lowrance bracket.uploadfromtaptalk1427736628767.jpguploadfromtaptalk1427736651969.jpguploadfromtaptalk1427736844948.jpg

Looks good dude. I like the new transducer, it appears to be a little lower profile than last years model.

Thanks Alan. Mine is the dragonfly 4, just like Joe's you see on the red x factor. I'm not sure if the newer 6&7 are the same or not.

Setting up a new 5 Pro on an Outback...........found this solution. Transducer part anyway, gonna skip the wire nuts etc See how it goes.
