Newport, 2-6-15

Short report... Landwhale and I launched at 6:15 in cold and foggy conditions. Water was 62º and very clear. Pretty good movement too, but this died around 8 for some reason.

I got a legal sandy pretty quick and then 2 small spotties a short time later. It then took until 10:00 to get another. Color didn't matter, style didn't matter. Hot Sauce, no Hot Sauce. The fish just didn't seem to be hungry. If I didn't have an appointment for work in Santa Ana at noon, I think I would've called it quits by 9:00.

But, it was good fishing with Steve and I look forward to what ever we hit next week. Wildlife sighting for the day was a lone Red Crab.
