Question for all you current and past Revo owners

In the past I use Scotty lock tight rod holders on my old Revo but found that the position was always awkward and the rod always seemed to get in the way of my peddling. I ended up using some extender arms to position the holders outside and away from the kayak, but that too made it feel awkward.

So Question:

What rods holders did you use?

where did you mount them for maximum efficiency?

Scotty flush mounts with Scotty extenders, which are connected to Orca rod holders. Don't go the Ram ball route. Ram mounts/balls are only good for fishfinders or for just holding a rod - like on the back of your kayak. It's not the greatest when it come to dead-sticking, since it slips a lot.

Check out Scotty slip discs. Allow an infinite amount of adjustment to Scotty products. They work great.

PVC rod holder behind me. Also adds back support if you have the pre 2015 models.

A lot to think about. Thanks for the advice.

By the way I have the 2015 model so no issues on the back support.
