Hobie claims a gain of 10% efficiency. Bearings are almost always better than bushings creating less friction.

I can ship if you call me with a credit card and your shipping address.

Iceman, you are at the mission bay Oex? I will be fishing mission bay Sunday anyways. Do you think you might still have some in stock if I come by Sunday afternoon?

OEX Sunset Beach, authorized Hobie dealer, OEX Mission Bay can't sell Hobie products.

Is there an issue with sand in the bearings for those who beach launch frequently?

These components are now standard on 2015 mirage drives.

I can not imagine Hobie releasing these without totally putting them through the ringer. They certainly did not have to make these changes to sell more kayaks. They seem to strive to improve their offerings.

I have Verizon scheduled to fix store phone, need to call them every winter as water gets in the junction box and creates a bunch of static.........so can't understand voice mails and phone numbers left!

shoot me an e mail with your number and I will call you back or should have the phone fixed later today.

Andy hooked it up....now maybe I can keep up with Bert, when I'm gassed on the way back in, hoping for that 10%....I'll keep you posted on the swapped parts and let the team know what it feels like compared to the regular V2 components.

Thank you Andy, my wife just sent me a picture of the package as it just arrived. Talk about the fasted shipping ever! I'm going to toss them on tonight, and give it a test run.
