Malone Kayak Cart

I bought this kayak cart a few weeks ago and used it on my trip to Bahia Asuncion last week. I have a couple issues with it's performance that I can't get around so I would like to part with it.

My first and probably biggest issue is that it does not fit my hull shape as well as I'd like and end up with a listing kayak where ever I tow it.

The second issue is that I was not happy with it's performance in deep sugary sand. With the weight of my loaded yak on real deep sand causes the wheels to plow rather than roll. They would work great at any launch that I have seen in this area or most any place that I have gone to except where there is expanses of very soft fluffy sugary sand. If it were not for the Hull fit issue I would live with the other issue.
I paid over $150 for it but would sell it for maybe $110 or swap for a more conventional cart. Show me what you have.

I had the same problem with the one I bought so I returned it and welded up one for myself that works. The "V" shape bent into these carts does not fit most fishing kayaks with a deeper V hull shape so you end up with a kayak that tips sideways on the cart. There's a picture around here where you install two short cross bars on the top of the cart and then it works.

Here it is: http://www.bigwatersedge.com/bwevb/s...39&postcount=8

I am in Mission Viejo and I think you are in Lake forest so I can think we CA arrange that. Let me know what works for you.
