Asuncion 2014 final
It took just a couple of days to fill this trip when it was posted, so start thinking about next years trip, IT WILL FILL FAST!!! I will post it in early January after we get back from New Years Gonzaga trip, no later then the 10th of January. We will post our reports from this trip soon after our return in early December. POLICY CHANGE, please note!!! To keep this and some other future trips available to all members of our community and to make it less of a problem I will be asking for a $50 dollar deposit for this coming years ASUNCION trip. Your money reserves your space on the trip, and it is fully refundable upon arrival in camp. If you do not show up then your money is gone, if you let me know ahead time, at least 2 weeks ahead, I will try to fill your spot, if I do your money is refundable. I am sorry to have to do this, but................ I hope it will releave some headaches. I do not charge for these trips so I do not need the problems. This was suggested to my be some of those who have enjoyed these trips and saw the frustration as people dropped out and changes had to be made. The deposit for Gonzaga trips will be $25 dollars. Those going on this trip are mostly on there second trip to Asuncion and we will be discussing if we can do more campers for next year so more community members can sample this awesome fishery. So if anyone on BWE has any input please speak up. Tight lines.

I'm here in Asuncion today (Monday). It was a beautiful day on the water! Calicos were wide open and even boiling on little balls of bait on the lee side of the small island in front of Shari's. Some big ones too! Also saw a dorado chasing a halfbeak only about 30 feet in front of my yak. Same spot. I tried casting a 4" croc for a while, but no luck (on the dorado).
The predicted Santa Ana's picked up about 2:00 and blew hard off shore. Tomorrow is supposed to be Santa Ana's again, but it's a travel day for me, so no worries. I am heading down to Abreojos, but may try to make it back at the end of the week to fish with you guys at San Roque. Temps are great 80 day, 65 night approx. |
