Hammerhead on the fly line!

I was hoping that I had a monster yellow but turned out to be a +-8 foot hammerhead. Sorry about the photos--I need a GoPro.

Jamie message me, I already forgot!

I spent 10 minutes today trying to lose that/a Hammerhead. It bumped up against my Kayak twice after stealing my bait…. At the time I wasn't enjoying it's company but looking back now I wish I would have filmed/documented it better… woulda, coulda, shoulda…

great pics!

No wire leader, just a lucky hook set

You guys are nuts!! I mean

I kept my distance from your hooting and hollering about the hammerhead.I noticed another guy getting closer to check it out. Glad it was not circling my yak!

Hammerhead on the fly line!

Hooked one of those a few weeks ago but spit hook after a minute . Congrats on a unique catch!

Yeah, chalk that one up. Cool catch. I am also surprised you got it to the yak without the wire leader.
Good meeting you and see you on the water again soon.
