20-25# bait stick ?
On a boat, I use a Calstar grafighter 700L (15-30) Boat rods are a bit stiff and heavy on a yak. What do you guys like? |

I'm "old school". I'm a Calstar 270-8 for or my 220 for on 20# depending on what I'm targeting. I a Seeker SJ85 or Calstar 690-J for 25#.
My "rebirth" into Saltwater Fly fishing is my Scott 8810 Heli-Ply or my Sage 1090 RPLXi-3 with a fast T-15/17 shooting head for getting down below the little fish quickly. FFY |

Seeker Classic 870-7' is a solid choice.

Might help if you specify how you intend to fish it, and what for.

So far, all the options presented are heavier than a 700L. If you'e got one, fish it.

You looking for something softer and lighter than your 700L? Run down to OEX MB and pull on that Rainshadow RCLB70L. Its a bit softer and light weight.
I also like the RCLB810L and RCLB810ML. They're a bit taller but thinner diameter. And they don't weigh much at all fully built. Otherwise I do also like the Calstar BTG270, Varmac GC2 from Squidco, and Seeker Inshore 808. I use the Varmac as my go to.

The calstar grafighter 700L is a great rod. I loved mine on the kayak until it was stolen. I have a seeker black steel rate for 25lb now. Its very similar to he 700L but is noticeably softer. Maybe try one out. Mike

I am mostly just curious as to what others are using. I am basically doing a little research for a possible future purchase. I rarely buy new. Too many good deals on used equipment .
