Changing out hooks on irons

im planning on changing out the treble hooks on my salas 6xjr and 7x irons with some owner hooks. what size treble do you guys recommend and what # split ring thanks!

The easiest way is to buy the same size treble with the cut eye. Use a couple of pairs of pliers and open the eye by bending it sideways just far enough to make the opening fit over the ring then bend it back. Very strong, the hook will straighten out before the eye will open. Dont cut the ring and replace it with a split-ring.
