Out of the shadows !

I've been lurking and learning on this site for a long time.
BUT LAST NIGHT I BOUGHT A USED PA 14 !!!! I'm not sure where to begin! LOL
I have a long list of things I need to round up at the Hobie shop, starting with a drain plug(one is missing) and a PFD !
When I loaded it up in the tacoma I quickly realized I need some kind of bed extender out behind the tailgate.LOL
I'm chopping at the bit for the store to open !(9:00am)
It came with the hobie bait tank, hobie wheels, elite 4 dsi, drift chute, running lts. on the bow,LEDs under the mounting boards, batteries, charger and some other things.
I have a activities card for lake san marcos and that place is loaded with bass, I wonder if I'll make it there this weekend?oh well, one can only hope.
You guys are going to roll on the floor laughing at this next statement but I feel like a 10 yr old on Christmas morning(I'm 61 yrs.old!!)
I'm dying to take it empty of all things to the beach and learn how to surf launch it and come back in without crashing and burning. The ultimate goal is to fish at La Jolla.

Take to the bay's first. Get you're bearings.

And yes, it is normal to feel like a 10 year old on Christmas morning.

The enthusiasm if one of the biggest reasons we love Kayak fishing. There is a lot one can learn from all the posts. Great idea to play around in the bay to get to know your Kayak and how it handles, there will be a lot more to learn in the surf especially the landing part. Good Luck.

Congrats on the PA. I don't know if you are still looking for a bed extender, but I have one I can give you for a good price if u are interested. I'm thinking $30. Lifetime warranty.
