You can get an elite 4 dsi for about $150 right now. It's smaller but it had gps. Cabelas.com after $100 rebate.

Because although its for sale I still use it and if it ever sells ill just move the unit to the new yak. And sell it with the advertised unit.

Just curious, the DsI version is good up to 200ft in depth compare to 1000ft for non DSI. Is 200ft good enough for general kayak fishing around SD?
I guess its good as long as you are not targeting rock fish which usually 200+ down. Anyone want to share experience using DSI feature. |

short answer is if you fish anything over 100 feet I would not recommend the DSI
