Christmas eve newport

Beautiful day out met up with chris and Jim, launched just as the sun was creeping over the hills. Jims fish finder died so I was the only one with one and as soon as we started getting some good hits my fishfinder went dead as well....had the charger set for 6v instead of 12 so it didn't do anything. So after catching a couple small rock fish we headed to the kelp for not much action at all. Fish everywhere in the water lots and lots of garabaldi water was crystal clear down to 50 feet. Not much action but a beautiful day. Only in So Cal can we be out on tje water in shorts and a tshirt on xmas eve.
