Open Bay Bass 2014
OEX is proudly sponsoring the kayak division once again this year. Ken R. got us into the top 20 last year. Let's get a kayak in the over all top 10 this year! You compete in both divisions with your $65 entry. This is a very cool BIG League fishing tournament. San Diego Anglers do amazing stuff with the proceeds all year. print out the entry form and send it in with $65 check, disregard the need for proof of liability insurance, not required for kayaks. http://www.sandiegoanglers.com/index...d=65&Itemid=76 Last edited by Iceman; 12-04-2013 at 03:46 PM. |

Love this event. Are we going to do the Breakfast Potluck again?

How are the kayakers set up in teams?
I would like to fish it but don't know that many kayakers.

I've always known the Kayakers to be individuals, I don't believe there are teams for the Kayakers

A question for past participants... would a Vittles Vault 15 or 25 size be enough to serve as a livewell in this tournament?

kayakers pay an individual entry fee of $65 and we compete overall with everyone else. Minus the kayak bonus prize by OEX.
Last year was my first time and it was a great experience, minus the tough fishing conditions that day. Looking forward to another awesome event next year. |

Yes, I personally have the larger one, but the one you have will work. Do you already have it?

Not yet build is still on the drawing board. Trying to imagine how a 5 bass limit will look like inside and which size will fit better in the back of the P13.

Personally I like the larger of the vittle containers. I have a hook up for these that I can get you one for better than retail. I can build you one for $100. Comes complete with battery, 6 rod holders, pump and all.

I've used the coolers before and they work, but the sloshing of the water can make for an interesting paddle.
