Was going to camp and take my 3 year old out there last Thursday, but the snow/rain kept us at home

When you use a kayak and fly fish do you use a basket?

Nice! I often fish there and have actually caught a few trout in the 5lb range.
If you pay close attention you can see there are 2 bald eagles that feed off the trout in that lake. On more than one occasion I have seen them dive in for the kill and swoop up trout.

I even saw one circiling around and I threw one of my dead trout right in front of me where he was circling. Believe it or not after a few circles he came down and took it. It was a super cool experience. That place is a real gem! The fishing is great too if you like trout. Thanks for sharing!

x2 on the basket.

It's not free after the boat house closes. When the boat house closes there are no water craft allowed on the lake. Shore fishing is open all year around. Water craft is allowed on the lake only during boat house hours 7:00 am to 5 pm April through Oct. Water craft must be inspected before launch

Fun report. Gregory has been on my list since they started planting the browns again.

Even though they are stocked, I still think its cool to catch a brown trout locally
