Can a Prius tow a small kayak trailer
Any thoughts or experience on this one? |

Sure it can. I seen tim tagyak tow one with his prius, until his ol lady cut his balls off and made him quit kayakn for good. Yeah it can tow one for sure!

I don't see it being an issue as long as you stay within the manufacturer's weight ratings for both the car as well as the trailer hitch you select.
In short it would have to be really loaded to cause issue. |

I bought a pro angler off of a guy down in Chula Vista. He pulled his PA and outback on a modified pwc trailer with a Prius.

YES definately I tow my PA with my wife's Matrix 32MPG - tongue weight 300 lbs...very easy on your back!

Been doing this for over a year now, no problems. If your car is still under warranty, call the warranty center and have them put it in an email that it is OK. This is what I did when I bought my Prius in 2012. The manual states the Prius is not recommended for towing - whatever . What the warranty center stated was, as long as what you're towing doesn't exceed the normal maximum combined passenger weight, you are fine. Go for it.

Have you thought about roof racks? You always have parking issues with a trailer. I'v hauled two kayaks on top of my toyota and Kia many times.
